about
Evnex has been building EV chargers in Christchurch since 2014, growing into one of New Zealand and Australia's most trusted names in home charging. Most people buying the E2, their most advanced charger yet, had never thought about EV charging before they bought the car. The launch had a bigger job than selling a charger: making the invisible parts of EV ownership, like grid timing, tariffs and carbon impact, easy enough to trust at a glance.
The launch focused on building partnerships with EV manufacturers, electricity providers and installation partners, using marketing content that showed the E2 working across different EV models. Alongside it, an app update showed owners their charging times and carbon impact in real time. The E2 itself is just under seven centimetres deep, the thinnest of its kind in the world, built from bio-circular plastic, and reads the power grid in real time to schedule each charge for the cheapest, cleanest hour.
We planned and created video content, product run-throughs and client testimonials around that idea, ran the live virtual event that introduced the E2 to New Zealand and Australian markets, and produced a product catalogue carrying the wider Evnex brand story alongside a trifold brochure for installers and OEM retail partners.
Evnex has since sold more than 10,000 E2 chargers across New Zealand and Australia, and the number keeps climbing.
